It’s a very old temple and is believed to have been initially built by the Chaudhary family residing in this village. The temple was rebuilt some years ago. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati . The exact date of foundation of the temple is unknown, but it’s one of the oldest temples in this area. The temple has both religious and historical significance in the region. Basuki Bihari is a large village in the Madhubani district of Mithila region in Bihar, India. The village is divided into two Gram Panchayats: Basuki Bihari North and Basuki Bihari South.
